A vital part of your church is under threat.

It’s very common for couples to keep their marital problems a secret due to the shame they feel when things aren’t as healthy as they could be. Marriages suffer in silence and pastors often only find out until it is too late.
Your church can be a safe place for couples to heal and grow. You can give couples the resources they need without exposing their brokenness to everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Compass?

The Compass is a one-page strategic overview of Marriage365. It serves as a guide to help us understand how we contribute to the completion of quarterly business goals. It helps us understand what our top priorities are for each quarter as well as outlines measurable ways we contribute to the overall success of Marriage365.

Why do we use this document?

Our desire is for every person on the team to be connected to the bigger picture of what Marriage365 is all about while at the same time having a clear understanding of how our individual roles are a part of achieving our goals.

What are quarterly rocks?

Quarterly Rocks are a list of the top business objectives for a given quarter. They will change and evolve each quarter. The belief is that focusing on these priorities will make the greatest impact on our long-term goals.

What are quarterly priorities?

Quarterly Priorities are a list of your priorities as they relate to the quarterly rocks. These are in addition to the normal functions of your role. Typically, you should set aside 20% of your time to accomplish your quarterly priorities.

What are KPIs?

KPI = Key Performance Indicators.

These are measurable practices that we can each use to self-determine whether or not we are moving the business towards our priorities and Summit Goal. These are set in a quarterly meeting with your team leader but can be adjusted if it’s discovered that a measure was too easy or difficult to achieve.

An example KPI for Meygan would be, “Do 5 IG Lives directing social media followers to sign up for a free trial.”

What are S.M.A.R.T. goals?

Smart stands for…

S- Specific
M- Measurable
A- Attainable
R- Realistic
T- Timely

When creating any personal and business goals, you want to make sure your KPI’s also fall into being a SMART goal. For example, “do 3 Social Media lives a day” would not be realistic. Or writing down, “do more social media lives” is not something I can measure since there is no number to it.

What are MEG Trackers?

What is the most important thing that we need to rectify this quarter?

Following the KPI example above for Meygan’s “5 IG Lives” Here critical numbers could be:
Super Green = 5+
Green = 4
Yellow = 3
Red = 2 or less.

You will decide your critical numbers for each KPI. Your team leader may help you to a degree, but we want each person to set the bar for themselves.

How will we use this document?

Each quarter every team member will download and print out a new Compass Document and meet with their team leader to discuss the new Quarterly Rocks, develop their own set of Quarterly Priorities, create new KPIs, and set new critical numbers.

Ideally, we would love for every team member to have their Compass printed and hung in a place where it will be easily seen and referenced.

How will we hold ourselves accountable?

We have a shared spreadsheet where our KPIs and critical numbers are listed out. At the beginning of each workweek, each team member will go onto the sheet and mark their given areas with the color that expresses the critical number they hit in the week before.

We will spend a brief moment in every Team Huddle meeting quickly reading our critical number results. This isn’t a time to elaborate or tell hilarious stories. It is just a quick time to share how we did the week before.

Are the Caston’s even Christians?

“They talk about all kinds of out of bounds church stuff and are so real I could never get away with saying what they say in church”We’ve heard all of this stuff. Even though Casey and Meygan are lifelong followers of Jesus, they built Marriage365 Membership to intentionally accessible to people from all faiths and backgrounds. This is great because it leave the theology to you…and they stick to what they are experts at: marriage.
